About the grant

Do you drive an electric van but lack charging options? With support from the City of Oslo, your company can upgrade or build charging infrastructure, and install charging boxes and fast chargers for electric vans.

Normal charging for e‑vans:

  • Up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at NOK 15,000 per charging point.
  • Maximum total grant: NOK 1,000,000.

Fast chargers for e‑vans:

  • 50% of costs, up to NOK 3,000,000.
  • The charger must have at least 50 kW power.

  • Businesses registered in Oslo (with an organisation number) can apply.
  • Private individuals, public entities and housing co‑ops/condos cannot apply. Parking companies cannot apply.
  • You must receive approval before ordering materials/services or signing contracts. If you need a grid assessment, you may consult an external advisor before applying.

  • The scheme only covers chargers used for the company’s own vans (provide registration numbers in the application or final report; for planned purchases, state this in the application).
  • Only fixed installations owned by the company are eligible.
  • The grant must trigger the project; do not start work until you have approval.
  • The Climate Agency may carry out inspections.

  1. Submit the application (include a supplier quote if requested).
  2. Get an answer in the portal within two weeks; do not start work until then.
  3. After installation, submit a final report with documentation.
  4. After approval, the grant is paid to the account on your Oslo Municipality customer profile.

The grant is given as de minimis aid. If you have received other public support in the last three years, state this in the application and include the amount.
