About the grant
We offer a grant for buying and installing a home charging station for taxi drivers who own or plan to buy an electric taxi. The scheme applies only in Oslo and runs through 2025.
- NOK 10,000 per charging station, limited to 50% of eligible costs.
- Charging infrastructure is not covered under this scheme.
- The grant must trigger the project; do not start work or sign contracts before you have approval.
- Holders of a taxi licence may apply.
- You must provide an organisation number for your company/sole proprietorship in the application. The payout account must belong to the same entity.
- Only valid within Oslo Municipality.
- Private individuals and housing co‑ops/condos cannot apply under this scheme.
- Wait for grant approval before ordering or purchasing the charger.
- Only one charging station per applicant is supported.
- Only the purchase and installation of the charging station are eligible (not wider infrastructure).
- If you live in a co‑op/condo that is also applying for charging infrastructure, this does not stop you from applying for a personal charger under this scheme.
- Electrical work must be confirmed by an authorised installer.
- You commit to operate the charger for five years (including maintenance).
- Keep all invoices and receipts and submit them with the final report.
- After documentation is approved, the grant is paid to your business account. We encourage applicants to register costs through their business/sole proprietorship.
- The Climate Agency may carry out inspections.
The grant is given as de minimis aid. If you have received other public support in the last three years, you must state this in the application (including the amounts).
