About the grant
Do you want to replace a diesel-powered machine with a cleaner option? Your company can get 30% of costs, up to NOK 1,000,000, to buy electric machines for use in Oslo. The scheme covers all types of powered construction machines and tools that meet the criteria, including equipment used in gardening, port operations and construction.
Note: No support is given for machines covered by Enova’s programmes.
-
New electric machines or motorised tools with a minimum motor power of 5 kW.
-
Converting an existing machine to electric drive, if you include a plan and cost estimate with the application.
-
Examples: forklifts, wheel loaders, tractors, lawn mowers and other operational machines.
-
The grant mainly targets machines used on construction sites, in park and gardening services, road works and port operations. Climate Agency may also consider other areas of use.
-
Not covered: machines already supported by Enova’s programme for zero-emission construction machinery (e.g., wheel loaders and excavators over 40 kW) and machines meant for leisure use.
-
All companies registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre that will use the machine in Oslo.
-
Private individuals and public entities cannot apply.
-
The grant must have a triggering effect: do not start work, place orders, or sign contracts before you have an approval.
-
The machine must be used mainly in Oslo.
-
The Climate Agency can decide whether the machine fits the purpose of the scheme.
-
Up to 30% of costs, maximum NOK 1,000,000.
-
The grant is given as de minimis aid («Bagatellmessig støtte»). If you have received other public support during the last three years, you must state this in the application and include the amounts.
-
Submit the application. Some schemes require extra documentation, such as a supplier quote.
-
Wait for the answer in the grant portal (normally within two weeks). Do not start the project, accept offers, or sign contracts before you get a decision.
-
After the purchase/installation, submit the final report in the portal. The approval letter explains the documentation requirements.
-
Payment is made after the final report is approved, to the account listed on your Oslo Municipality customer profile.
-
You can appeal rejections and allocations under Section 28 of the Public Administration Act. The appeal deadline is three weeks from the date you receive the letter. Send appeals to fondet@kli.oslo.kommune.no.
